Hiya all! I'm Lauren.
I'm 18 years old and I'm the Founder and President of this awesome club which has been in existence since April 3, 1996. Yup. This is the first and original penpal club for kids by kids. Together with Jenna, the Vice President and the Boards moderator, we welcome you to the club . We actually started on April 3, 1996 as a very small club of 41 members before moving to this awesome site . And we're happy to let you know that KCI is listed in the "Consumer Guide to the top 101 sites for Kids". KCI was also mentioned by the "The Mailbox®" a magazine for teachers in its December 1999 issue. The publisher, The Education Center, mentioned the KCI website in an article on using pen pals in the classroom.

We try to monitor each and every member at the boards but we also need your help. A parent or guardian must complete and mail a signed permission form to the administrator of the board before a child under the age of 13 can complete the registration process.
